The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Group

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with rich lore, a diverse cast of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing angels, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Spoilers for the third episode of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Introduced

The latest chapter ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unworkable.

That’s why, the opening chapters of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Planners, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Combat Party

According to the Dungeon Master, the warrior group is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven gameplay experience where diplomatic options are scarce.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the foes for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then paid off his liabilities and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and advises that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The healer, having defied his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their status as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the group enter places they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.

What’s Next?

Based on the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table won’t be around next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Explorers and Schemers groups.

Audiences can expect learning which adventurers will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
