Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession. The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve? "Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I want some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!" The creator says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series. That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now. "I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some fascinating origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members." The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the form of fan bingo cards. "I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy." Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
